What is a Spring Start-Up?

A spring start-up includes a complete inspection and activation of your sprinkler system to ensure peak performance for the season. Our experienced technicians evaluate system coverage, program your watering schedule, and perform any necessary maintenance to keep your landscape healthy.

What is Included in a Spring Start-Up?

Our spring start-up service includes:

  • Gradually filling the sprinkler system with water
  • Testing each zone for functionality
  • Inspecting and adjusting all sprinkler heads
  • Checking rotation, spray coverage, and pressure
  • Identifying and fixing leaks
  • Setting up the controller and rain sensor

Spring Start-Up Checklist

  • Slowly open the main water valve to avoid pressure surges, uncontrolled flow, and water hammer that can damage your system.
  • Test each station valve by manually running every zone from the controller or Hydrawise app.
  • Inspect all zones for proper operation, consistent water pressure, correct sprinkler rotation, and full coverage. Watch for signs of low pressure, which may indicate a line break or a missing sprinkler head.
  • Clean and adjust all sprinklers as needed, making sure they sit level with the ground, replacing any damaged or malfunctioning components.
  • We’ll note any major repairs or system upgrades and handle the coordination and scheduling of the additional work.
